A little advice needed.

Recommended Posts

I normally use 9 gauge string's on my electric guitar's. But my brother has gave me some Power slinky's 11's. So my question is? will I be able to put them on to my LP without putting too much strain on the neck. I mainly use my LP for rhythm. Any advice is welcome.:dunno:

AFAIK it shouldn't be a problem, but the truss rod might need adjustment to counteract the heavier strings. You may also have to file the nut slots to accommodate the thicker strings (keep them from binding in the slots.) Check out UGB's threads in the Guitar Tech section.
