Which Princeton to choose?

Recommended Posts

I have a tough decision to make, so I decided to take it to my experts: 1975 Fender Princeton non-reverb for 550 or so, or a 1967-68 blackline Princeton reverb? The difficult part to decide is between 12 clean watts without reverb (I have some reverb pedals, but no fender reverb) or to spend the extra 250 for reverb, but lose some headroom? I am looking to eventually get fender reverb, though being able to max the amp and hit the sweet spot may be more suitable for jamming whenever I get the chance. I do have a bronco though and I worry that a Princeton (non reverb) would sound too similar though. Any thoughts?
