These are strange times indeed. Who would have foreseen that an invisible virus would turn the planet upside down? No one. But here we are, instructed to stay in, not venture out unless absolutely necessary, wondering what to do. We can only make the best of it and, as we all know, one of the best ways to pass the time is to play the guitar. It has kept me sane for over 55 years now!
I had the pleasure last week of staging a mini guitar workshop with some of our members here. We used ZOOM, which is similar to Skype but better in my opinion. At one stage there were over a dozen of us online, all able to see each other and chat and play.
Which got me thinking ... why not offer online lessons on a one-on-one basis? The technology is in place and no matter where you are on this locked down planet, you and I can interact like we're in the same room as long as you have webcam.
We can cover whatever you want ... fingerstyle in general, a detailed look at one of the lessons I send out, slide guitar in standard and dropped D tunings, the PlaneTalk mindset if you have bought the course, chord tone improvisation, arranging for fingerstyle, music in general ... whatever. It'll be your lesson, so it will be your choice. I'd love to meet you!
