The
V.C. Squier company was acquired by Fender Musical Instruments Corporation
in 1965. In 1982 Fender Japan began producing inexpensive versions
of the Fender "Vintage series" and these became the first Squier guitars.
Since then they have introduced the well know Squier Affinity series
which are great inexpensive guitars suitable for all players looking
