Sears
first introduced Silvertone guitars in the 1930's and players such as
Muddy Waters and Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup made them popular in the 40's
and 50's. Silvertone guitars were also known to be unofficially the
first guitars of Chet
Atkins, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix. Known for solid construction and
inexpensive pricing Silvertone is no longer associated with Sears but
the Silvertone brand continues to hold its reputation for making affordable
guitars for players of all levels. This page is dedicated to Silvertone acoustic guitars -
