Should there be a time sig change here?

I wrote this such a long time ago and I'm finally trying to put it all together as a real song, and I'm wondering if at this particular part of the song, there should be a time signature change, a different drumming pattern or beat or whatever. There is no drums at this moment, so its all still up in the air about how its gonna be. But I'm not very smart when it comes to creating drum tracks, I usually just have Jamstix write most of it. I just feel that the drumming should change here. What do you guys think?

Sounds like it is in 4 the whole way through to me or at least I was able to tap 1-2-3-4 all the way through. The drum pattern should certainly change from shuffle to a 2 beat at the questionable part.

Not sure I can explain it very well. Shuffle beat is a stagger feel like, Boom -- chick a Boom -- chick a Boom. 2 beat is straight like Boom click Boom click ...

Both however would be written in 4/4.

Maybe this link does a better explanation: Drum Beats - Rock Drumming

There's a dramatic strumming/picking style change there, but it all still fits nicely within a straight 4/4 time signature.
