firstly, i must say what a brilliant site this is - i am a newbie, and have learnt so much from kirks lessons. keep them coming....please. I do have a little question. What does the small '0' mean in the starry starry night tab (second bar on the d string for example)

That signifies a hammer on from the open string and then fretting it quickly at the second string. There is a mini lesson on hammer ons in the Read Me First sticky in playing guitar if your unfamiliar with it.
