Tekker's Lessons - Update

Alrighty, two more tutorials on recording have been finished off.... phew, finally!

The first one covers how to connect various types of equipment to standcard PC soundcards. The second deals with setting volume controls with the soundcard's mixer window and how to use the soundcard's mixer with a recording program to set proper levels to avoid clipping while recording. These lessons would be great for those who have never done any recording before and would like to give it a try.

Thanks a bunch Tekker. I just started trying to record myself this past weekend. I am
using Audacity, and with a lot of reading and a little luck I finally got a recording. A bit
rough but a recording just the same. I still have a lot to learn and every little bit helps.
Thanks again.

David

Mucho thanks, Tekker! I haven't tried recording onto my PC yet, but it's been "on the radar screen" and drawing closer. The tutorials will be a big help. I already have Audacity, just need the cable/jack adapter and I'll be in business.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
