Tekker's Lessons - Update

The first two sections have been added on recording.

First off is a list of freebie plugins that I have used, many of which I still continue to use regularly.
The 'FREEBIE' List

The second one is a basic turotial on setting up the free recording program Kristal Audio and how to use it as a virtual guitar effects processor. So you can plug your guitar into your computer and hear the effects in Kristal live while you play.

Hope you enjoy them!

Excellent! This is the stuff! I was posting these freebies as I found 'em, but you got a much more organised approach. could I mention Amplitube Uno for inclusion as anything Amplitube put out is worth checkin' out.

You posted for suggestions on recording tutorials earlier - now,I was in the process of writing a piece on 'latency and how to get round it' . Maybe you want to take that on board as I tend to take an age to get my posts composed ( 2 finger typing and limited vocabulary slow me down too much ) I figured latency was one of the first things generally encounter once you've set up to record so it might be worth an early mention.

I'll post further suggestions as they occur to me, in the meantime ,well done again!

Ahhh yes, I thought about the Uno while I was still searching through my list of plugins and then forgot to put it in the list.

There's only been one time where I've had a problem with latency, and that turned out to be an issue with my computer. Reloading everything fixed the problem and I haven't had any problems with that since. So if you want, you can go ahead and finish up your lesson.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
