GfB&B Audio Video Chat room official release.
GfB&B Audio|Video chat room officially released
Well it's been a while coming, but the beta version of the Audio/Video chat room that many of our members have been enjoying over the last few months is now fully integrated into the forum... this means that you will now be automatically logged into the chat using your forum name (no separate login needed). You can now also see Who's in the Chat Room by looking at the "Members currently using the GfB&B Audio Video Chat room" bar at the top of each page (just below the nav bar).
I need to give a BIG thank you to our member SkyNet (aka Carey) who is the one who made this all possible. The integration of the video chat room into our forum was way beyond my capabilities. He has done a great job and has put a lot of work into this on his weekends and time off over the last couple of months... and he hasn't complained once and has been an absolute pleasure to deal with... thank you so much Carey.
So, it's there to be used. You can also use the audio/video chat one on one by using the IM button.
Please note:There is a limit of 6 users that can use any one room at any one time. If you are the 7th user to join the chat you will automatically get put into a new room. You can either wait there for more users to join or wait until someone from the other room (or rooms) decides to change to your room or leaves the other room so you can enter as the 6th user.
Moderators and admins can enter any room even if full.
New members please note:
New users will not be able to access the chat until they have been here a certain amount of time and have a certain amount of posts or are known and recommended by an established member. This isn't for any other reason than a video chat room can be used for offensive purposes. This has happened already a couple of times... and as some of our member's children are sometimes in the chat room with them, we want to take precautions against anyone being offended.

Very well done to Skynet. The chat room is one of these things I keep on meaning to use but haven't got around to yet. Sounds like it is a lot of fun.

Cool! I'll have to get my webcam up and running and I'll be in there to check it out. From other members comments, it looks like it will be a lot of fun.

Thanks all! I'm glad I was able to contribute to this great community.
I've made some new friends in the chat room over the last couple of months and I'm looking forward to meeting other members. We've had the privilege of listening to some very talented members, jammed a little, taught each other and just chilled. It's always been fun. My first time in the room, Witchy and Hilch were putting capos on the noses. I thought I'd taken a wrong turn and ended up in an alternate universe lol.
Hey Skinny, I know I've been telling you that the room would be done real soon for awhile now but last time I actually meant it

Though I'm not much into chatting, this is definitely a great news.

Careys' interpretation of "real soon" is somewhat...fluid.

I have to jump in and defend Carey here... this would have been finished a lot sooner if he wasn't continuously waiting on me to get back to him about things.

I guess you guys are lucky, my Logitech QuickCam won't install on this new Vista I have, so you won't have to look at me.
I've lost the use of my Canon scanner too, really sucks.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
