New lesson Forum - solidwalnut's Lessons and Articles

Well more great news for the forum. Solidwalnut (aka as Steve Cass) has kindly offered to start his own lesson forum here at GFB&B.

Kirk first got to know Steve over at Wholenote and when he arrived over here we immediately asked him to become more involved with the site.

Steve has been so helpful both on the forum with his well though out replies to all kinds of questions from members... and also behind the scenes as a moderator offering up helpful advice and feedback on the direction we should be taking as the forum grows. He's an all round nice guy and we are very lucky to have him on-board.

So a big thank you to Steve for agreeing to take this on. You will see that he has already added many articles, many on recording and and mixing, one on submitting your demo to a record company or producer and also a great one on Barre chords.

Check out Steve's lesson forum here.

Thanks Steve!

Clancy

Great lessons Steve - I'll be delving into those on audio mixing often - It's an area that I feel I need to improve and your lessons look to be exactly what I need.
Cheers.
And welcome to the Members Lessons Forums, although I see you're not called a CONTRIBUTOR like me and Tekker - but a MOD. But we won't hold that against you. Right Tekker?

Want to be a moderator too Fretsource? It's a great job, just ask Simon and Marty.

Yup. The hardest part is sitting still while you have a bullseye tattooed on your forehead.

Nah - too much pressure, I'd never survive it.

Wow, Steve ... what a great contribution! Thanks so much for all that hard work, must have kept you busy for a long time.

I'm going to take full advantage of your recording lessons ... I'm a novice and need help.

Cheers, Steve, once again, thanks!

Thanks so much everyone. I really look forward to contributing more. I have much more up my sleeve...

I really do want to complement Kirk and Fretsource and Tekker and Neilsonite rather than rehash what's already been done. So there will be remakes of stuff that I've written in the past, but mostly it will be all new material--including simple video lessons.

Kirk, you're totally welcome. It's really great to be a part of the best guitar site on the planet

Wow. That is awesome Steve. Thank you so much for your contribution. This is one area I know NOTHING about, but hope to in the future.

Thanks again.

Ouch, low blow.

Watch out Fretsource, us mods can be a bit temperamental, just look what we did to the rockers.

You contributors might have the knowledge but we have the ban button and some very itchy mouse button fingers.

Just kidding.

Yes, I remember. I was there.

I've just realised something: if Moderators are MODS, I guess that makes us CONS. I always knew I'd have a record one day, I just didn't realise it would be a criminal record.
