Yep it's legit... unless there's someone else out there promoting our forum. (which would be great anyway)
If you want to unsubscribe, just go to your User CP - then to Edit Options and deselect the "Receive Email from Administrators" checkbox and then click Save Changes. You'll then be off the mailing list.
