Logged in...???
I just noticed something strange... Usually the forum asks me to log in, and I just do so
without thinking twice about it... This time though, I decided to just look around a bit
before logging in. I looked at the online members list and found that nocat was logged
in, so I clicked on the name and it took me to the profile page, where I discovered that
the little green light was on and it said I was checking out the forum index...!!!
Hmmm... So, I logged in as normal, and every thing seems ok... !?!
I'm wondering if I am logged on all the time, even after I shut down the browser and my
PC... So I tried it... Shut everything off, started up, opened browser, clicked on link...
I get to the log on page, look at the list of members on line... And there I am... Still
looking at the forum index... Is this normal..?!? Am I being deceived into thinking people
are logged in when they really aren't... All my preconceptions of reality are starting to
crumble... I only have a few marbles left... Please tell me I have'nt lost them...!!!

Ben,
The cookie timout limit is set to 10000 seconds. This means that if you don't actually click the logout link, it will look like you are still logged in for about two and a half hours after your last activity on the board.
Because the "remember me" checkbox is selected automatically when you log in using the forum home page, this makes it so that the next time you come to the forum you should automatically be logged in again unless you have actually clicked on the Log Out link. That's what happens to me anyway.
The only way to be fully logged out is to actually click on the Log Out link. You should not show up as online if you have logged out like this.
You can always get an idea of someones recent activity here on the forum by going to their profile page and looking at the time of their last activity.
Anyway, if anyone thinks that the cookie timeout limit is too long, just let me know and I'll change it so that it's shorter.
Hope that helps to clear things up.

I've reduced the cookie timout limit so that it is now just an hour. So from now on, anyone who isn't active on the forum for more than an hour will not show as online.
I think that makes more sense.

She lives, works, loves and sees the best one out there...
I think its either a matter of, she is not really interrested or she can play the guitar so well she would make Kirk look like an amateur. that would jeopardise the GFB&B forum and everybody would just feel too ashamed of their own playing to post anything...
Just kidding Clancy. but that would make a good challenge for you. (hint hint...)

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
