  Helplessly Hoping verse

Hey Clancy,
Wanted to tell you & Kirk how much I enjoy and appreciate the site in general and the lessons in particular. This is my main method of learning new tunes and I have definately improved while learning Summertime, Mash and currrently Starry Starry Night among others. In going back to review one I never quite mastered, it appears when the site went to the new format the video and tab for the verse of Helplessly Hoping didn't make the transition. It used to say "and now for the tune itself" or words to that effect as a link to take you from the picking pattern page to the tab and video for the verse.

Helpfully Hoping to see it reappear (sorry, couldn't resist)
Mark

Hey Mark,

Glad you're enjoying the site. I think you'll find it is there and it's also linked from the chorus lesson page.

Here's the chorus Helplessly Hoping Chorus >> Fingerpicking Study - if you scroll down to the bottom of the lesson you'll see a link saying "See the "verse" part of this lesson" - just click on that link.

Or here is the link directly to the verse part of the lesson Helplessly Hoping Verse Section >> Fingerpicking Study

Let me know if that doesn't sort things out for you.

Cheers

Clancy

Actually unless I'm missing something, I can also see the link to the verse in the first paragraph of the chorus lesson - I did notice that the verse isn't linked to the chorus up the top in the first paragraph in the same way so I might go in and change that so that it does.

Cheers

Clancy

  missing something

Clancy,
Thanks for the quick response, I too am able to access the link you mentioned but that is not the problem. Originally this lesson contained two movies and tabs, the 5 second fingerpicking study and tab, which it still does and it then linked to the song verse itself which was 11 measures of tab and an approximately 30 second movie which it does not. I have a poor quality printout of the original 2 web pages if you would like me to scan & email them to you for reference.

Thanks again

Mark

Sorry Mark, I misunderstood your first post. I'm not sure about this, I'll have to ask Kirk where that went.

I'll post back here when we work things out. Won't be long

Ok, Mark. We'll have to look into that tomorrow, Kirk doesn't seem to have a clear memory of it, but that's probably because it's getting late here now.

I'm hoping we still have a copy of it from the old site. I'll post back here tomorrow if (or when) we find it.

Ok Mark,

We found it (I think) - if you go to the verse lesson we have added it onto the bottom of that lesson. You will now see two movies and two sets of TAB.

It was all a bit confusing because we didn't exactly have the old version, but I think all the pieces are there now. Let me know if they're not and I'll look into it again.

It was actually up yesterday but with the server outages I forgot to update this thread, so maybe you've seen it already.

Cheers

  same as it ever was

Good Morning Clancy,
Thanks for quickly straightening this out and retrieving the original movie and tab. Now I have no excuses for not getting this one down and adding it to my songlist except perhaps for my ADD. I know my wife will enjoy hearing something other than Starry Starry Night for the one millionth time so I can mix it up a bit with this.
Thanks again
Mark

I know what you mean,my sister threatened to kill me if she heard Jingle bells again...I think its a really nice song. I will try to get the HH song down, I've tried it before, never could get it.
