Recommended Posts

Do you have a band you really liked, listened to a lot that now seems to be forgotten? Scott

My first nominee is:

(Chicago) Climax Blues Band

Uriah Heep.

It's a Wonderful Day. (White Bird)

Wishbone Ash.........a good band in their day but under-rated.

Molly Hatchet were another talented band but didn't get the attention that they perhaps deserved.

Whitesnake (Who can forget the video with Tawny Kitaen on the hood of the Jag...!!!)

Journey (Steve Perry had a fantastic voice and NEAL SCHON, a gifted guitarist... )

There are a bunch if I sit and think for a while but right off the top of my head.

APRIL WINE

HEAD EAST

BOSTON original lineup (was and still is one of my favorites along with the Eagles.)

Thats just a few I could go on after some time.

PLAY ON

Randy

Pure Prairie League. Oh, wait, they were hardly known at all so they can't have been forgotten.

Poco. I became a huge Poco fan which was funny because the first time I heard them I couldn't stand them. Stupid college roommate kept playing them until it was either join him or kill myself. Still alive.

Coldethyl, I agree with you about Wishbone Ash. Always liked their sound a lot.

I agree about Pure Prarie League , Poco and Wishbone Ash----not so sure the Moodies qualify, they still have legend status i think.

Robin Trower

Wishbone Ash

Panama Red

With all due respect, some of the bands named here don't belong on a "forgotten" list. Boston? Man, they still get more air play than most contemporary pop bands. Ditto Moody Blues.

"Toad The Wet Sprocket - Very Good Band"

That's one of those bands I never listened to, but the name intriqued me. The same with "Tonto's Expanding Head Band". Until one day a guy send me their album after I was telling him how I liked Tomita and Tangerine Dream..
