I had to sell most of my guitars when Wall Street stole my money and job.

A couple years ago I had to sell most of my guitars and some gear to buy groceries and pay the electric bill.

I sold:

Martin HD-28

Martin 00-18 (1958)

Guild JF 12-20

Guild Mark 3 classical

Taylor baby

Gibson Les Paul Custom

Gibson Custom shop ES-335

Gibson SG-Special (1962)

Fender fullerton '54 reissue strat

Fender Fullerton '52 reissue Tele

Fender "Roland Ready" Strat

Ovation flatop Bass

Yamaha P-Bass clone

Vox MandoGuitar

Gibson L-1 (1918)

Plus lots of extraneous effects processors, microphones, stomp boxes

I could be worse, I'm left with:

Collings OM3C

Collings D2HA w/bound fingerboard and headstock

Tom Anderson Hollow DropTop

Modulus VJ bass (#47)

Line6 Variax 700

Line6 Variax 5 string bass

Electro Lap Steel ('50s)

That must have hurt.

Hopefully its better to have had GAS and let it pass than to never had GAS at all. <-- trying to be philosophical, not sure I accomplished it.

Rockerbob,

Ouch!! Although, you had to sell a lot of your equipment, glad to see you survived and are still here.

Mike

Yes, it's a pain that will linger. On the bright side, the guitars I have left are among the best I've ever played.
