What strings do you like? I use Martin Marquis Phospher Bronze med. gauge on acoustics and GHS boomer 10's on my electrics.

DR Rare 12's on my Yairi Dread and Guild A/E, D'Addario Chrome Flat Wound 12's on my Godin Kingpin II and Epi Dot, 13's and Aria FA71. Any 10's on my Strat, since I don't play it well enough to matter.

Nice selection of strings. I can relate to your last comment! :smilinguitar:

I just put a set of Marquis Silk and Steel on my Taylor. Taylors are kinda bright any way and these strings really mellow it out. Works really well with vocals. And they are very easy on your hands. They are light gauge. 11.5-48.

For my electric Ernie Ball all the way! I have tried just about every brand out there and keep coming back to EB. I do like the DR Blues for my strat though.

All I have are acoustics and I use D'Addario flat tops.
They sound a bit more mellow, which I like, and they remove almost all of the string squeak, which I really like.
If it's tourist season why can't you hunt them?

I had a set of the Elixir strings on my Takemine acoustic recently. Really nice sound from them. They do last about 3 times longer than other strings, but at 3 times the cost!.

My usual strings are Martin Custom Light 11s. I hate restringing the guitar, but love that first new strings jam!!

I have changed stings to the marqis light guage. And guitars from a Taulor 210e to a Seagull Artist Mosaic. WOW! Love that Seagull. Solid wood too.

Very nice, one of their best all-around models. Great woods, probably the ideal size & shape. Considering trading in my Strat for a good Seagull Artist A/E.

GHS core contacts. Best sounding and longest lasting strings I've ever used.

I've used Martin strings in the past and they also sounded good, but didn't last as long as the GHS's do. Feel wise they are about the same.

I just put a set of GHS silk & bronze. Thet are easy on the fingers and so far I think I like their sound. I'm still listening.

I have decided on my favorite strings for my Seagull. After going through several sets and brands I really am hooked on the DR Rare. And remember, I only bought Maquis. The DR's are very loud and have a very acoustic musical sound that I have heard but could never quite get. :wow: So my search has ended. Now to see how long they last. Oh and I took the pickguard off today. It seams to have opened up the treble strings. And I love the way it looks! :claping:
