Iíve been working on a different version of What Child Is This, which I first heard by Sarah McLachlan.

This is only a practice take, (having been sick, and also still not knowing how to record, ha ha.) I just wanted to post a song for the holidays.

Happy Holidays,
Happy Everything!

Chelle,

Wonderful job on this and super guitar work in there. You've learned it well. Great vocals and recording.

Beautiful, Chelle ... great playing, singing and recording.

I guess I shouldn't have subtitled my Greensleeves lesson 'What Child Is This?'. The two melodies are quite different, but the chord structure seems pretty similar.

Thanks for posting, Chelle, Merry Christmas to you and yours. Posted Image

PS: I uploaded The First Noël today, thanks for the suggestion. It's a beautiful little piece ... I hope I did it justice.

Thanks eddie. And a big thanks for showing me Sarah's version of the song. It's a lot of fun to play.

Chelle,
You are most welcome, and if I had your voice I's sing it myself, I am happy that your were able to succeed in its production. Next year its my turn. I think i got a couple I can do this year before its out.
I hope you and Randy enjoy this Holiday season.
Now keep them coming cause once a year just is not enough. Maybe your and Randy can do a duet sometime, a smooth sax tune.

Thanks for listening and for your comments Kirk, always encouraging. Yes, my version of What Child is very different from the more popular version. When I first heard it, I thought "what in the world is that?" Then I had to do it.
Your lesson on Greensleeves is very nice.

I downloaded your First Noel lesson, thanks for taking the time to do it and for making it simple enough for us beginners. It sounds great. I'm going to use it to try and learn Tab.

Merry Christmas and
Happy Everything!

aww....eddie,
well, Can you believe Randy put that song up on his facebook?, Yikes! (the vocal's too hot, kind of a rushed recording, lol.)
I've wished he'd consider a duet but he's been too busy.
Now, Let's hear a Christmas song from YOU!

Merry Christmas to you and yours.
