good line for a song

Recommended Posts

In an attempt to lure Kenny back to the site, here is a line that might spark some lyrics for a song...

My therapist thinks I'm crazy but my dog knows I'm not

:guitardude:

any takers?

Hook line and sinker Doug! This is not really a song, more spontaneous doggerel...

My therapist thinks I'm crazy

But my dog knows I'm not

We have a special friendship -

She likes my mind a lot

When I decide it's time to go

And walk along our street

My therapist says, 'Why think of that?

Are you worried 'bout your feet?'

My dog knows I'm not crazy

She's always on my side

We love to walk together

On the beach at evening tide

My therapist has some wild ideas

His questions all seem weird

'Ah yes', he says, and nods his head

'It's worse than we had feared'

My dog knows that life is short -

We must live it while we can

My therapist looks quite sad at times

I think he's a worried man

My therapist thinks that sanity

Is found within a book

My dog knows, that love is shared

With every single look

I've never seen my therapist smile

He always seems so sad

My dog knows I'm completely sane

It's my therapist who's mad

My dog and me are happy

We like to walk and run

It's other people in this life

Who try to spoil our fun

Sometimes I feel quite sorry

For people who don't see

A dog will love you always

Like my dog cares for me

A dog will not betray you

A dog won't let you down

A dog can keep you happy

And as carefree as a clown

A dog will never care about

What other people say

She'll love you till the day she dies

In her loyal doggy way

No dog will ever hate you

A dog won't tell you lies

A dog will be your friend for life

Until the day she dies

My therapist doesn't own a dog

He thinks that pills are better

Than coming home each night to greet

A bouncing Irish Setter

Or any dog who happens by -

I give them all a hug -

My therapist thinks I'm crazy

But I think he's the mug……

Kenny!! Oh, Kenny!! Your forum and friends need you.........

chores are calling....back later

Carol, That was beautiful. Line after line that struck home.

Yes, Kenny has been absent for a while and the site is not the same without him.

Come on people - have a go. Anything goes - maybe even a song like Doug suggested - it would have to be a humorous one maybe? Doug? Any ideas?

From beneath the rock...

My therapist thinks I'm crazy, but my dog knows that I'm not

He tells me every morning, when he asks if the coffees hot

Dogs do talk, though most not out loud

Mine uses telepathy, when we're hanging with a crowd

Bandit is his name, as he's always stealing stuff

when he is confronted, his voice goes sorta ruff

Admits he only does it, to keep up our morale

Then says I'm very sorry, forgive me my old pal

I try an tell the doc, he's a very special dog

and I'm sure he would agree, if he would only read his blog

But the doc just shakes his head, and scribbles on his pad

And laughed right-out quite loud, when I said Bandit calls me dad

So the sessions keep on coming, the docs mortgage I'm forced to make

Everybody thinks my story, is nothing but a fake

I'm tired of explaining, as most will never understand...

The bond and conversation's, between the best friend of a man

Yes I've lead a dog's life, in more ways than I can count

But talking dogs I tell you, you should never ever discount

My therapist thinks I'm crazy, but my dog knows that I'm not

And to those who don't believe, well... they just don't know squat

Happy Holidays to all!!! :santa:

Hey Kenny, It's so nice to hear from you. Great take on the lyrics - I knew you'd come through.

I hope you are doing well, that you have a great Christmas and that the new year brings everything you deserve. ;-) Which of course is happiness, health and prosperity.

Well, well, well! It's very nice to see you posting again - and a cracker rhyme too, you old dog! Jaffa says Woof, and Molly's looking confused - she always finds strangers a bit scary :). I told her "it's ok, she's quite safe - he's in America so there's no need for any of us to worry too much....and he's mostly non violent anyway".

All the best for Christmas and I endorse the 'everything you deserve' sentiment from Doug. :santa:

Here's a Christmas challenge for you - a song before New Year - you know you want to! If you do one, I'll do one - and yes, that is a threat.
