I bought this in 1974 in Japan... Plays better the older it gets... It's basically a copy of the Martin D41 - though possibly slightly better (!) - K.Yairi is one of 3 brothers who make top quality guitars. One makes classical, K. makes acoustics like mine and a younger brother makes electric (poss. not quite the craftsman his brothers are).

Welcome Akiracun. Yairis are a very desirable guitar. I have friends who regularly scour ebay looking for them. They have a great rep for terrific tone. Congrats on having one.

Nice K. Yairi!:)

However, your info on Yairi luthiers is incorrect. There were 3 well known Yairi's~ Kazuo Yairi (of K. Yairi and Alvarez Yairi), Sadao Yairi (of Sada and S. Yairi) and Hiroshi Yairi, who was Sadao Yairi's son.. who did most of the Yairi and Son models.

More info available~ but, since I'm new I can't post links yet.. when I can I'll add it here.
