I Love to Sit and Strum.

Recommended Posts

I have to acknowledge a member who said this in one of his posts and gave me the first line on a plate - and sent me on a road to nowhere - but I can't now find that post or who it was, so if it was you, please check in for praise....or maybe blame?

Disclaimer: I don't know who wrote this, but it certainly wasn't me! ;)

I love to sit and strum

I love to fill my tum

I love to bang on my big base drum

Da dum, Da dum, Da dum.

I love to count my blessings

I love to go to weddings

I love to put on all my bling

Da pling, Da pling Da pling.

I love to curse and swear

I love to never care

I love to give small kids a scare

Boo hoo, Boo hoo Boo hoo.

I love to sit and think

I love to have a drink

I love to make a great big stink

Ka plink, Ka plink Ka plink

I love to suck my thumb

I love to act real dumb

I love to kill for fun

Ho hum, Ho hum, Ho hum.

I love to misbehave

I love to think I'm brave

I love to torment all my slaves

Ka bam, Ka bam, Ka bam.

I love to pick my nose

I love to cut off toes

I love to torture all my foes

Ka pow, Ka pow, Ka pow.

I love to burn and pillage

I love to bomb a village

I love to cheat at cribbage

Ba boom, Ba boom Ba boom.

I love to be a psychopath

I love to kill small kids for cash

I love to laugh at the aftermath

Ka boom, Ka boom, Ka boom.

For those who do care ;) - no real people were hurt in the writing of these lines. I'm not sure the same can be said for my reputation - correction, my alleged reputation.

That last four verses is quite disturbing so I'll just keep a good 'kicking distance' away ..... LOlz

:escape:

Only the last four???? I think you need help.

Thanks everyone - I was a bit crook, it must have been the fever. :whistling

Hi Carol,

If this were set to music, I see it starting as very bright and bouncy in a major key and as it progresses it would change so that dissonant notes are added whenever the lyrics have you being a bad girl. At the end it would be very dark and menacing.

Have you tried counselling? ;)

Great lyrics - very entertaining.

LOLz... Funny you should mention that!

I was thinking of writing lyrics for "Laugh, Cry or SuiXXde" (although I've no experience)

PS. the last band I was in was called Therapy. Maybe I do need them ;)

Thanks everyone, I'm not sure I'd dignify these lines with the label 'lyrics' - unless any of you want to give it a shot......

I reckon the 'target audience' using the term loosely, would be the under 2's - of any age. ;)

I think you would be perfect to turn this into music!

Interesting lyrics Carol, seems like the fever got a good grip on you:) they are funny, I could imagine listeners saying, what was that line? they have a sort of Monty Python, Lumberjack song vibe, nice one:)

Thanks Chris - I'd forgotten about the lumbar jacks - a classic. And mentioning my lines and Monty Python in the same sentence? (that's a blush, not an oops) Does life get any better than that?
