Bad Day (just for fun)

Recommended Posts

BAd DaY

Ripped a hole in my jeans

All out of smokes

How much worse can it get??

Hell, I'll tell ya folks!

I tripped up the stairs,

Crossed over a line,

Had a really bad hair day

It looked just like twine!

Ran out of gas

Tryin' to make it to work

A guy in the parking lot

Called ME a jerk!

Walked under a ladder,

Put my hat on the bed! (gasp)

Lord, it woulda been better

Had I woken up dead!

Heard what I shouldn't

Wished it weren't true

Said what I said

And made someone blue...

Just one of those days

We've all had I suppose

Might have been better

Had I kept the sign CLOSED

Bugs in the breadbox

Hole in my hat

Wouldn't you know it?!

There goes a black cat!

Got scared at nothin'

Looked under the bed...

The monsters were hiding,

All in my head!!

Will it get any better? This BAD DAY of mine?

I hope it does fast!

I'm all out of time.

My sister really gotta kick out of my latest silliness. She says it sounds like a bad country song and I agree. Go ahead twangers, lets see what you can do with these!

Well done Val/Dawn! - really funny and well written too. It flows really well.

I'm too busy laying down a few tracks of my own right now - studio time is so expensive, you know...:laughingg: so maybe you should have a shot at it yourself and then there'd be 2 versions??

I liked this a lot, and would go perfectly as a country song with an American accent.

Okay, D-Dawn, I took you up on your offer and had a go at a tune.

There's no blues, no twang, no accent, but it's a little bit country.

Sorry again if there is background noise, I took out as much as I could. Family just has no respect for my recording time!:brickwall:

Hope you like it.

Thanks. I hope you like it. Now, I'll wait for your version!

I had lots of fun with it. Wish I had the accent (I don't think Canadians have accents...a few odd slang words "eh", but that's about it). Nothing too exciting anyway.

LOL it's cool to hear my words put to music! Thanks Nutty :)

It sure is Dawn, isn't it? - a real buzz and Nutty is one of my trusty singers too!

Are you more relaxed with your recording Annette? It sounds like it - nice n' natural phrasing and a looser feel to the singing that makes it sound great - as if you're enjoying yourself. Good job! :claping:

This song's a lot of fun, cool lyrics D-Dawn and a great take Annette sounded like you had a lot of fun doing this, this one really bounced along really upbeat, raining here, so this brightened the day up, sun's coming out now, must be the power of music, nice one:winkthumb:

Thanks Carol and Chris,

I think I'm started to get a little more comfortable mixing. Still don't know what I'm doing...just play around with it until it sounds good.

I definitely was more relaxed with this song. Maybe I should stick with country?? Really it was a fun song and I did have fun with it. Maybe my husband is right in that I should do more happy songs.

Music IS powerful, for sure....at least for me.

Thanks again for your feedback.

Annette
