Thanks. I have been surfing the web for good free beginning information and there is a lot out there.
I just want to play the basics for myself, not looking into being a pro.

Thanks for the welcomes.
My fingers are already getting sore...:smilinguitar: LOL.. I know that go away with time.

The guitar I bought is a Art & Lutherie Folk CW, solid cedar top with cherry back and sides, Godin electronics with built in tuner. I also got the dealer to throw in the Tric case for it and he put Elixr (I think) Light strings on it.

As soon as my digital camera recharges I will post a picture of the A&G.

Any and all suggestions are welcome. As I am an old guy just starting.

Hello everyone,

I'm also new to the forum. Been playing guitar in the past. Now thought that it's time to remember good old times and get things going. Looking to purchase some good gear. Seeking advice from professionals on these forums.

Seems you guys have a lot of amazing information here :yeahhh: !!

Welcome from another "older" Texas resident who started to play late. What part of the Lone Star state are you from?
As to what do you do now, you practice, read, practice, complain of sore fingers, realize learning to play is actually some work. Do you plan on taking any lessons?

G'day Tex, welcome along.
