The poem before the song...

Staring at the flickering screen
my eyes begin to numb
I go and grab some more caffeine
what have I now done
an office chair at home so plush
tucked in a corner space
just sitting here when came a rush
brought a smile right to my face
its 1 AM this days been long
its time I go to bed
I'll close this out with a new song
that just popped in my head

Kenny's got the rhyming gift
Never a truer word said
Even after a long day's shift
A rhyme, a song, and then bed.

Well said Kenny.

Thanks Windsong
Thanks Chris

Rhyming words is lots of fun
don't think of it as peril
conversing with another one
is great training thanks Miss Carol

Nice one Kenny. I notice that you went to some effort to avoid the obvious rhyme of Carol/barrel. Thanks, its appreciated! :winkthumb:

OOPS

Hate to say it no excuse
I left out the best verse
the one that mentions Kirks great lessons
geez I can almost hear him curse

Kirk may curse
And Kirk may moan
But no need to hide there
Under that stone.

Kirk is fair
And Kirk is modest
I can't speak for him
But I doubt he'd protest
:)

Here's a rhyme
That goes with 'Carol'
Don't know if it helps
But its 'apparel'

'Cask' and 'task' would rhyme OK
But 'barrel' and 'Carol' is not the way.

Found another
to rhyme with Carol
unlike my mind
the word is sterile

I'm sure if we try "there'll" be more

I've done a rhyme, I had the time

Might be chancy
Missed out Clancy
A lady so supreme
Their wonderful creation
Lets us fulfill our dream
You don't stop laughing when you grow old; you grow old when you stop laughing.

You may be in peril
If you label me sterile
But in one way I'm more than content-
If you care to look closely, sterile and Carol
Only rhyme with American accent.

And in other matters:

Clancy and fancy
Is too obvious a rhyme
And nobody wants to be 'antsy'
It sure is a challenge
But just give it time
At least her name is not Nancy.

Kirk rhymes with jerk -
But that gets me in trouble
And anyway, its simply not true
He'd sure burst my bubble
My woes would be double
And my world would turn horribly blue.:yeahhh:

Wake up Kenny, its your turn!

Thanks Steve, Thanks Kriss{any ideas?}

To uphold some compliancy
about rhyming with our Clancy
I've come out of my dormancy
to say I like her elegancy
though my skills are still in infancy
I hope I didn't show any arrogancy

My Dear Miss Carol
I was talking to Darryl

You are scraping the barrel
In your rhymings with Carol
Your efforts are worthy and long
If you really did care
You would give us a scare
And put all of these words into song!

:balloon: double tag!:yeahhh:
