Not as easy to find as in years past. Th copyright police have closed a lot of bt forums and sites down for violations.

Allthumbs I am sorry for bothering, but on http://www.guitars101.com there are not much backing tracks which don't have melody or guitar.I have just downloaded Rain Song from Led Zeppelin and it has guitar.Allthumbs can you help to find what I am looking for.Example of backing track I am looking for is to have only bass, percussion and organs or some other instruments(if those instruments are in original version).Sorry again:oops:.I appreciate what you did so far

Wow. That site had gone down hill. 2 years ago there would have been hundreds of bts on their site. The copyright police have almost killed the bt forums. I am afraid you have missed the boat. Tracks like you want were the first to go. Maybe some of the members here have their own stashes of bts they can help you with. Another problem is a lot of players don't like bts stripped to the basics because it can be quite challenging to come up with a strong melody from scratch. A lot of bt sites are geared for scale players. That means that they like bts that have at least a basic melody laid down so they can play scales without having to worry about melody.

I have the same trouble. I can tell when a bt has been created for scale players most of the time because they tend to be busy with a melody of some kind already in place. Hard to put melody on top of a melody already there without stepping on it. Outside of buying licenced bt cds, I don't know what to suggest.

You could look for guitar pro tunes and mute the guitar parts. I guess that would be better than nothing.

another way is to use a midi file with a player that will let u turn off diff instuments, i use Vanbasco's Karaoke Player, which is free, just google for it and ull find it, i can turn off the guitar parts so i just get drums and bass, its maybe not the best way but it works if u can find a version of the song that u like
