so i found this old guitar in a closet...she's got cracks and dings and the board that the tuning gears sit on is separating from the head of the guitar at the nut. she could probably be refinished, but her intonation rocks and she's functional. any tips on how to recondition her?

rock on!

much love...

Hey there! This forum is basically about first aid and minor repairs and set up tips but I'll help you wherever I can. I'd like to know a couple of things about the guitar though: what kind is it? acoustic or electric? Can you take photos of the damage and post them? That's a good place to start.:)

you got it UGB. it's a 1967 guild f30 nt acoustic guitar that has been chilling in a closet for ten years or more. it sounds great but the finish seems to be going in places. there are cracks, one of them quite long by the little pick guard dingus. i'll post some pictures soon, although it would probably be good to ask how to post them first...so if anyone knows, please tell me!
