I wouldn't use it; but that's just me. I kinda like what you have here but don't wanna really chat live...

Same here. I've never been a proponent of chat rooms, but that's just me. I guess I'm not that sociable.

20 People typing at the same time. Trying to figure out who said what to whom. trying

to pick out your conversation amongst at least 19 others. Words flying off the screen

before you get a chance to read them. Making sure the person you are typing to has

read what you typed before 19 other lines come between your comment and their response....

Gives me a head-ache just thinking about it...!!!

I think Nocat summed it up pretty well, "word mayhem"..too many topics whipping by at one time. I can also see some positive attributes of having an open chat, but for the most part I believe it would get out of control.

If ya really need to get info or have a question for a member in particular, I'd say use the Private Message feature that Clancy now has available.

That was an interesting reason, but nobody really cares if you spell something wrong. Also, chat rooms could be very useful for instance, if you get stuck on something that you dont want to wait days for an answer then you can just see if somebody knows in the chatroom.

On the subject of spelling... One thing I've noticed in visiting chats is that, the more

horrendous your spelling is, the cooler you seem to be... Hence you see things like...

"h3y y dnt u ch4t wth m3?"... Now this may be really cool, and save you a lot of time when

you are typing, but it takes me an extra 10 minutes while I fire up the old Enigma machine

and try to decipher that line...!!!

I often get e-mails from my friend's kids, and it literally takes me hours to make sense out

of them... The thing that gets me is that these are not typo's or spelling mistakes, this

is like a whole new language...!!!

My gray matter may be starting to harden, and this is probably why this bothers me so much... :P

Anyway.... 4op3 u dnt m1nd my r4an71ng...!!! :D

Ch33rs..!!
