Some Songs with Interesting Lyrics

I've just found some songs with interesting lyrics for all those with songwriting on their mind. Shows you what you can do with a bit of imagination, at least more than I have, but it might give someone an idea of what's possible.

http://www.abc.net.au/rn/dailyplanet...06/1795513.htm

Moonlight and Me by The Legendary Tendermen Starts at 22.53 on the streaming audio timeline (not the time that's shown on the play lislt)
It's Tom Waits meets/The Third Man Theme/We Three Kings/a bit of wishful thinking about peace/a train song/ all with Australian overtones. It's different!

While you're there, the first track in the program also has interesting lyrics (and a good tune) by Thrashing Marlin (a New Zealand group) who also do an interesting version of John Cale's Ship of Fools at timeline 28.00.

It's only available at this site for another day or so, so if you're interested check it out now.

btw "tired and emotional" is code for 'drunk' in Australia

Thanks for that info Poppyjean, I'll check that out. Welcome to the site, I'm sure you'll find lots of interesting stuff here. We already have a couple of members from NZ. Hope you enjoy your time here.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
