Just a Man

Hi everyone

sorry about not writting a song on the home assignment , but I just couln't get anything working for me on the topic ( sorry ) , but I did write this song ..

I watched a story on the television last week about famous female country and western singers , Dolly Parton , Tammy Wynett , Lorretta Lynn , Patsy Kline and the list went on and on ..

One thing stuck in my mind after watching this a quote from Tammy Wynett ..

" It took 30 minutes to write and 30 years to defend "

Talking about her song , "Stand by your Man "

So I wrote a song around that quote , you might even say it was the hook ..

So here it is country style music :

Just a Man

v/1
When you wrote your song
About standing ,.......Standing by your man
Did you mean what went wrong
When you sang about this man

v/2
They treated you unfairly
By the radio and the fans
I really didn't get it but
But then I am just a man

chorus
It only took you 30 minutes
To write your little song
How could you realise
It would take 30 years to defend

bridge
Takes me only minutes
To sing your little song
But it will take the world a life time
For everyone to understand

v/3
I feel I am in the minority
For I try to understand
What was it like to sing
To sing about that man

v/4
Did he ever say he was sorry
And would you forgive and understand
Iknow what I would do
But then again I m
I'm just a man

outro
For Iam
Just a man
Just a man

+++++++++++

Feed back appreciated

Thanks

Trev.....

I liked that Hilch, through the "im just a man" parts i got to feeling more of a "I am just a man" but it reminded me of bruce springstein - nothing man, through that bit.

Never liked Tammy Wynette much, but i didnt mind your song..

Nice job
