In the shadows...!!!

Here are some lyrics I wrote the night I learned of Stevie Ray Vaughan's tragic accident...
They have never before seen the light of day, in deed, it's been many years since I have
even looked at them... In a spell of melancholy, I was looking through my old notebooks
and it just happened that this was the last one, on the last page, of the last notebook I had left...
I can't really put into words how reading this makes me feel...
I offer it up as a tribute to the man...!!!

Hiding in the shadows of the blues,
Looking through the lines to find some clues,
I've never really known,
and never have been shown,
The light beyond the fringes of my shoes.

I see it all again in black and white,
no way to tell the darkness from the light,
I've seen it all before,
don't wanna see no more,
I'll never sleep again, but then I might...

So if I run to you
Please help me see it through

And if you turn away
You know that here I'll stay

Hiding in the shadows of the blues.

Tonight upon this stage my fingers bleed,
as I look out at you, I'll fill my need
The fear I've never shown
The smiles you've never known
Would light your darkest hour, This is my deed.

I walk away and never once turn back,
My hopes and dreams I'll carry in this sack,
alone and indisposed
this door to me is closed
Pull back the scene and I'll just fade to black

So if I run to you
Please help me see it through

And if you turn away
You know that here I'll stay

Hiding in the shadows of the blues.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
