Lightbulb   Lyrics

this song is called Faith, Desperation, and Pain
-I'm new at writing songs, and I still need to put some music to the lyrics, but here goes:

(Verse 1)
One thing I know is
Life comes in slow motion
It only takes one hit, we can't change the past
Everyone seems to realize at one point or another....

(Chorus)
Life is full of Faith,
Desperation, and Pain.
The more we talk, the less we can feel
The time we take is gentle until we fall apart
Then someone tries to change me

(Verse 2)
I try to take it slow
We both talk it through,
I say the wrong thing at the wrong time.
You pushed me, and I took the chance

(Chorus)
Life is full of Faith,
Desperation, and Pain.
The more we talk, the less we can feel
The time we take is gentle until we fall apart
Then someone tries to change me

(Verse 3)
You can pull me apart,
Break my heart and step on the pieces
I'll pick them up and tape them together
I won't give a f**k, I'll move on

(Chorus)
Life is full of Faith,
Desperation, and Pain.
The more we talk, the less we can feel
The time we take is gentle until we fall apart
Then comes the end...
Someone tries to change me....
Change me.....

Looks like it could be a good song. Now you need to record it with your guitar playing & singing it for us to hear it....

Well done Fender Chick

This reads quite well to me , the flow is very good , I like how each line has sort of a reference to the next or vice versa ..

Like Bluesguy said sing it for us when you get that mike

Talking

Well, I got the mic set up, and here's my voice. I only did the chorus though. Let me know what you all think. I hope it sounds okay to everyone, cause I was kinda sick when I sang.

Thanks

Works for me FC ... sounds fine. You just need some chords to back it up. Your melody is simple but effective and will work well once you get some chords and a bit of rhythm going. I like the timing of the words at the end, and your voice sounds good Keep working away at it.

Well Kirk, you seem to possess even more supernatural powers than we already thought. Or maybe... You're just lucky and happen to have some codec we all lack here, because most of my audio program have trouble with it as well

I know some of you have Audacity and to furthermore prove the excellence of this little program: Yes, you can open the file with it (at least I could). For those who don't have Audacity, GET IT! It's a neat little program and very useful if you're thinking about recording something anytime soon.

If you don't want or can't get it, or are otherwise generally lazy, I've attached the same audio file I resaved with CoolEdit. It should work fine.

And btw, Fender Chick, nice start you have there. Can't wait to hear some music to go with it. Maybe nocat can help you with that. He seems to be on an endless crusade for words...

I wrote a song:
(No Name Yet)

Moving towards the future
Stuck behind in my own lies
Nothing I do turns out right
Might as well give up now
Theres no point in continuing this life

I have to
I have to
I have to stop this lie
(2x)

Might as well give up now
I dont want to continue this lie

Then I realize this lie is just the way of life
I cant give up
I have to press on
I have to push for the prize

I have to
I have to
I have to change this life

What do you think?

Well, I had to fix the filetype thing and download a new version of media player, that's why it didn't work. Let me know what you all think!

Thanks everyone

Whoah You actually made it an mpeg file? Well, as long as it works, huh? It still sounds pretty good to me, I'd like to hear more. Do you have a rough idea on what kind of chords etc. you plan to use yet? Keep going!

And by the way, Connor, as much as I appreciate your input, you might want to start a new thread of your own. Keeps this thread from snowing under and that will probably give you more useful replies as well
