Our University song

The poem before the song...

Staring at the flickering screen
my eyes begin to numb
I go and grab some more caffeine
what have I now done
an office chair at home so plush
tucked in a corner space
just sitting here when came a rush
brought a smile right to my face
its 1 AM this days been long
its time I go to bed
I'll close this out with a new song
that just popped in my head

Kenny's got the rhyming gift
Never a truer word said
Even after a long day's shift
A rhyme, a song, and then bed.

Well said Kenny.

Thanks Windsong
Thanks Chris

Rhyming words is lots of fun
don't think of it as peril
conversing with another one
is great training thanks Miss Carol

Nice one Kenny. I notice that you went to some effort to avoid the obvious rhyme of Carol/barrel. Thanks, its appreciated!

OOPS

Hate to say it no excuse
I left out the best verse
the one that mentions Kirks great lessons
geez I can almost hear him curse

Kirk may curse
And Kirk may moan
But no need to hide there
Under that stone.

Kirk is fair
And Kirk is modest
I can't speak for him
But I doubt he'd protest

Here's a rhyme
That goes with 'Carol'
Don't know if it helps
But its 'apparel'

'Cask' and 'task' would rhyme OK
But 'barrel' and 'Carol' is not the way.

Found another
to rhyme with Carol
unlike my mind
the word is sterile

I'm sure if we try "there'll" be more
