Christmas time all year

Christmas time all year

By X4 Kenny
open for critques and suggestions
Hopefully someone can put a tune to this and do it some justice.

Verse
Theres magic in this season
and it has a unique style
the cozy warmth it brings
watching the little children smile

Verse
The meaningful traditions
how they're so lovingly taught
passed down from generations
a kind of love that can't be bought

Verse
Its time for some reflections
deep into our holy souls
are we living our life right
and have we chosen the right goals

Verse
May the laughs hugs and kisses
fill your heart throughout each day
may your health and thankfulness
be on the list of why you pray

Verse
Christmas time is in your heart
keeps you filled with love and cheer
make this world a better place
and keep it christmas time all year

Chorus{?}
Christmas time all year
what a wonderful place to be
a lifetime full of cheer
is my wish to you from me
from the bottom of my heart
as it sheds a little tear
I pray that you may feel
Christmas time all year

Hi Kenny, I liked the chorus I've rearranged the song a bit, I put a little break in but don't know if it works, if there was another verse you could have 3 chorus sections, back to you and best wishes

Christmas time all year

Verse
Theres magic in this season
and it has a unique style
the cozy warmth it brings
watching the little children smile

Verse
The meaningful traditions
how they're so lovingly taught
passed down from generations
a kind of love that can't be bought

Chorus
Christmas time all year
what a wonderful place to be
a lifetime full of cheer
is my wish to you from me
from the bottom of my heart
as it sheds a little tear
I pray that you may feel
Christmas time all year

Verse
Its time for some reflections
deep into our holy souls
are we living our life right
have we chosen the right goals

BREAK

Verse
May the laughs hugs and kisses
fill your heart throughout each day
may your health and thankfulness
be on the list of why you pray

Verse
Christmas time is in your heart
keeps you filled with love and cheer
make this world a better place
keep it christmas time all year

Chorus
Christmas time all year
what a wonderful place to be
a lifetime full of cheer
is my wish to you from me
from the bottom of my heart
as it sheds a little tear
I pray that you may feel
Christmas time all year

Gee Kenny, I take a couple of hours off,and you've written another one!! I can't keep up

Great sentiments, Kenny...I hope you will forgive the 'sacrilege' but its late here and I'm a bit tired, but when I read

"and have we chosen the right goals"
my brain read it as

"and have we chosen the right toys" ....well, Christmas, Santa ,etc I'm sure you can see how it went.......I'm off for a good night's sleep before I really get into trouble.

Thanks Chris, will see about another verse...hope you tackle this one as your last one was great.

Thanks Carol, yeah it was a little too quick to print. I originally thought I'd shoot for the Kid factor with this, but my muse took a turn on me...what can I say

I think your muse took you in the right direction Kenny, the chorus is quite cheerful so I think you could have 3 so another verse would be cool but a break will work as well as it's only a small break nothing fancy, I read this when I got out of bed this morning and nailed it straight away, I think I should have recorded it then, things don't get complicated until I start thinking also I didn't know if you had a tune in mind, I'll do a sample of the tune for you today (I promise) to see if you like it

All the Best

Chris

PS. Thanks for the compliment, a songs only as good as the Lyrics so thanks for writing them.

I know all too well where your coming from Chris, happens to me all the time as well. Glad your going to see where you can take it, looking forward to it.

Heres a quick verse, don't know what you think, if it fits or not...you decide and as always you have total control with this to do as you see fit. Have fun...............Kenny

Joyous cheer around the world
festive feelings are so grand
imagine all of mankind
living in peace in christmas land

Second thoughts....

Chorus, 4th line, maybe...is "a" wish to you from me...sound better?

and the last verse I just posted...unsure...Living "at" or "with" peace in christmas land? to avoid the double use of "in".

What about?

Joyous cheer around the world
festive feeling are so grand
I see an image of all mankind
Singing carols hand in hand

The chorus change works ok, just wondered if you like this suggestion

Sounds good Chris, although the cadence changed, but if it works for you it works for me. Seriously...change it to whatever works for you, I'm just glad your attempting to make something out of it.

Christmas time all year

Good point on the verse Kenny, I tried to put the additional verse in the wrong place but my brains back now, I changed the Chorus back as my Daughter liked it, it's very hard to argue with a 13 year old, hope it's ok, I'll stop dithering now and get on with trying a recording .

Verse
Theres magic in this season
and it has a unique style
the cozy warmth it brings
watching the little children smile

Verse
The meaningful traditions
how they're so lovingly taught
passed down from generations
a kind of love that can't be bought

Chorus
Christmas time all year
what a wonderful place to be
a lifetime full of cheer
is my wish to you from me..
from the bottom of my heart
as it sheds a little tear
I pray that you may feel
Christmas time all year

Verse
Its time for some reflections
deep into our holy souls
are we living our life right
have we chosen the right goals

Verse
May the laughs hugs and kisses
fill your heart throughout each day
may your health and thankfulness
be on the list of why you pray

Chorus
Christmas time all year
what a wonderful place to be
a lifetime full of cheer
is my wish to you from me
from the bottom of my heart
as it sheds a little tear
I pray that you may feel
Christmas time all year

Joyous cheer around the world
festive feelings are so grand
imagine all of mankind
living at peace in Christmas land

Verse
Christmas time is in your heart
keeps you filled with love and cheer
make this world a better place
keep it Christmas time all year

Chorus
Christmas time all year
what a wonderful place to be
a lifetime full of cheer
is my wish to you from me
from the bottom of my heart
as it sheds a little tear
I pray that you may feel
Christmas time all year

Kenny, great job on the lyrics. Nice flow and meaning.
Chris I like the reorder, the first time I read the lyrics I heard a kinda slow "Blue Christmas" feel.
Great job guys, looking forward to the finished product.

Hi Kenny, Here's a short and rough demo of the tune for the song, fingerstyle, my recordings still suck. can't get rid of the hiss.
Hope you like it, it's quite mellow
