Composition Idea

I've got an idea for a song and am eager to hear other peoples ideas. The idea is this -

Compose the music for a song that speaks for itself - it needs to tell this story

There's a woman getting home from a long day at the office and lays on the couch to relax. As she's watching some TV, the phone rings - it's the guy she's been waiting for. So, she hastly dresses up, does her makeup. After this, the guy picks her up at her room (knock knock), and they take off for the night. During the evening they dance and have a great time. Finally at the end, it ends with a sweet goodbye and she's back at her place. Watching the same TV, but with a little more excitement.

I'll be working on this for the next few days. If anyone comes up with _anything_, just submit it. I look forward to hearing your musical stories.

There's no contest. No winners. And no lyrics. Just the music.

Best of luck.

-Casey

Music alone isn't going to convey such specific images and narrative. Combined with a lyric or a video clip, music could do a brilliant job, but it needs one or the other in my opinion.

The music would convey feelings. A fast and frantic intro to suggest rush hour, followed by a slow hypnotic dance to suggest relaxation. The guitar could imitate a phone (haven't thought about how). Then the pace would quicken as the couple ventured out, gathering force and changing rhythm as they danced, slowing to a sweetness for the kiss and bringing back the slow hypnotic dance with added vigour to close.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
