I've just discovered this singer songwriter who started to write what he calls "real" songs after he was nearly killed by a terrorist bomb on a train in Peru. He has just made his first album 'Mercy' which is being featured on an Aussie music program this week. Not everyone will like it, but once you get used to it it's hypnotic - can't get the tunes out of my head. Here's the link

It's the
first 2 tracks- 'Angel' followed by an instrumental version of same song (called 'Mercy') - good for noodling along to.
Another track (Pony) at
31.00 on the streaming Audio tracker at

While you're at that link you might want to check out some fancy Appalachan guitar picking on the first track at
2.00 minutes on streaming audio (Pretty Polly - Trad)
and some Beck/Robert Johnson at
17.55
or even some "sweet" Hawaiian style guitar at
25.50
Be warned, there will probably more tracks played during this week.....stay tuned

One good thing about music is that when it hits you, you feel no pain - Bob Marley
