What is your favourite fingerstyle song? [Poll]
My favourite style of guitar playing is fingerstyle or similar (chord melody, classical, etc...), so I am interested in knowing what others like. Please take a moment to take this poll & make a comment as to why you like what you do.

I'm rather partial to Joe Satriani's "Tears In The Rain" IMO it's melancholic but beautiful at the same time.

I think that Crosby, Stills & Nash's "Daylight Again/Find The Cost Of Freedom" is one of the most beautiful acoustic pieces around, along with William Ackerman's "The Bricklayer's Beautiful Daughter"...

"Classical Gas" - just awesome, and the really good thing about it is that it's easier to play than you think
I also love "This dragon won't sleep" by Don Ross.

Classical Gas is a fantastic fingerstyle song.
It changes time signatures frequently within the song which makes it an excellent finger exercise.

Couldn't pick just one off of the list - had to go with "Stairway", "Time In A Bottle" and "Scarborough Fair". All great songs!
It's not listed in the poll, but "From the Beginning" by Emerson, Lake & Palmer is one of my absolute favorites.

Too many to name I think, though for starters Tommy Emmanuel's version of 'Michelle', Doyle Dykes 'Do'Rita Forever' and Chet's version of 'Vincent' would all rate pretty highly. Throw in some Laurence Juber, Martin Taylor and Tuck Andress and you have all my 'top shelf' players. I tend to think in terms of artists/albums rather than songs.

Ididn't know that! I was a bit spoilt for choice. I'll stick with "Classical Gas", it's still my favourite.

"Somewhere Over the Rainbow". I particularly like Tommy Emmanuel's version. The harmonics he does on the song are incredible.
