So long as it's played with heart, I like all kinds of music. Rap isn't music to my ear ... it's poetry spoken in beat, perhaps, but it's not music. Sometimes there is music in the background, I've noticed.

I especially like blues, country, jazz, funk ... not mentioned in the poll. I like rock too, having played in what were basically rock bands for 30 years or so.

Maybe you should add some other styles to your poll, inxs98, and by the way, you may be interested to know that the INXS bass player Gary is an old friend of mine.

I can see that your obviously curious about other forum users tastes in music. But if your going to conduct a poll you might want to include other genres of music such as Blues, Jazz, Rock, Pop, Classical, Rap, Soul, Heavy Metal, etc.

I know that you have included some of the above but in a poll asking the kind of question that you have, you need to cover more. That way you cater for a wider range of tastes. Good luck!

I wouldn't even classify that...that...stuff as music. Just put a "c" in front of it and it's a better description of the genre, if you ask me.

I grew up on 70's blues-rock and Southern rock, which are still my favorite categories. Also like straight-up blues, the roots of rock itself.

What's the best music! What is music? I like a variety of sounds with rhythm beats and melody. My youngest son makes lovely unstructured music on a synth. Whatever pleases the ear.
