Eadgbe

Hi everyone,

Just thought this would be the best place to post a message.
My question is, the EADBGE, what is an easy way to memorise it?
Sort of like a word for each letter forming a funny sentence, easy to memorise. I don't know any of those in english
I hope you know what I am talking about.

Eddy Ate Dynamite, Good Bye Eddy

My favorite too. Works like a charm.

I also like this one:

Go Down and Eat Bread, Father Christmas.

For the key signatures with successive sharps and

Father Christmas, Go Down and Eat Bread

For the actual sharp added in that key signature

example: 1 sharp is key of G and the sharp is an F#
2 sharps is key of D and the sharp is F# and C#

"Eating Acid Does Good By Everybody" is what I use, but this and all the other mnemonics are too slow. I think 737blues is right.....just learn the letters.

I learned it with a more jaded mnemonic: "Every Acid Dealer Gets Busted Eventually."

However, once I learned the notes on the first three frets and saw the whole pattern, I no longer needed the memory aid.
