question about the sound when hitting a string
Hello, I have a question; When I hit the low E string on my guitzr, it sounds like the string doesn't sound the same through the ring; it sounds like it wobles in the middle if the ring. Can anyone tell me what might be wrong?

Hi iltpff,
a few questions back at you to help clarify...
what make and model of guitar have you got?
how old are the strings you have on there?
how many times is the string wrapped around the tuner?
Its always difficult to diagnose things like this without actually having the guitar to work with, but we should be able to do something for you... old and/or badly seated strings springs to mind frstly, you could see if a new set of strings will help...

I just had my acoustic's neck adjusted (lossened with truss rod) and my low e string is doing like you describe the tones not as sharp or something. So you can try to tighten the neck maybe (bring it to a shop) I deal with it because I like the adjustment for other reasons. BTW I assume its in tune

It is a 00-16GT, I have a 0016-RGT that does not do it, but both have the same strings on it. I will have to check the other things and let you know.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
