Synchronicity

Frustrated guitarist here!

Just trying to get the ol' grey matter to work in cooperation with the hands on the fretboard. But do you think I can?
It's not like it happens all the time, but hell it's frustrating when it does.
Huh! I can't even explain myself properly here and put into words what I'm trying to say. It's just comin' out like a load of gobbly gook! How bloody useless am I?

Okay, don't answer that!

Anyone else have this problem, or is it just me?

Some days you just don't have any mojo. It is what it is, so find something else to do. Happens to me more often than I'd like; often enough that when it does, I don't get too upset. It always comes back.

Synchronicity- awesome song by the Police!

Hell yes! Fixing it is usually a matter of finding focus again. Slowing down and exaggerating finger motions, playing really slow scales and listening to the sound of the notes.

sometimes you have those days: you can't do anything. Sometimes the opposite days come: you can do everything you usually can't! One day a few weeks ago I managed to play the Highway Star solo without missing a single note, and that solo is actually beyond my technical level. The day after, I couldn't play it anymore...

Yeah its totally wierd...
One day you cant play simple stuff without hitting all kinds of clunkers and then, I get these magic "mojo" days where everything falls into place and even wrong notes sound good! Now when I have a bad day...I put the guitar down and say...this is a music listening day not a playing day.
