Have a little break. Come back to it refreshed. Or have a break from your usual style and expand your horizons a little by exploring some new styles.

Have you tried setting a few goals for yourself? They don't have to be extremely specific but try to find a couple of things that you'd really like to achieve and then, write out the steps it'd take to get there and maybe make up a kind of schedule. Nothing too strict but just something to make you feel like you're actually going somewhere.

That's what I tried and it's working for now. I don't feel like I'm going in circles and I notice the improvement.

I believe, most of us, at least those that are essentially self taught occasionally reach plateaus in our playing, this trap has caught me several times, finally I came to the conclusion to just play through it--keep on practicing, try getting a new book for music or download some different stuff from the net, pust aside the songs you seem stuck on and pick up something else--later come back to the piece you stuck on and you may find like i have that it may seem to all come together for you then. I advise you to just keep playing, play anything and you'll find that the "stuckness" probably dissappears. Scott

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
