New Chord?
Ok, so I was goofing around and I made this funky chord that sounds pretty good. I don't know what you would call it but it looks like this: 13X033 I finger it like this:
1(i)3(m)X(m)0 3(r)3(p)... i=index, m=middle, r=ring, and p=pinky. I mute the 4th string by letting my middle finger rest on it while holding the 5th string. Anyways, If anyone can figure out what this is called I'd love to know. Let me know if you think it sounds good too. It's the first note in the track below, which was inspired by the new chord.

I'd go for Dm7 add11 (in 1st inversion).

Whoa- there's a song I'm fiddling with right now that has that chord in it. Don't you love stumbling across cool chords?
You could also call it a G7sus4, depending on the key you're in. Check out the chord finder at http://www.gootar.com/guitar/?result9=E+A+D+G+B+E

Yes - It could also be a G7 sus 4 (3rd inversion) and F6 sus2 - but not just an F6 - as it has a 2nd and no 3rd. Having fully woken up now - I'll go with 6strings choice of F6 sus2 as being the most logical choice.

I have a problem with the F6sus2. In all of my experience I have never seen a chord like that in any charts I have encountered. Also, the lack of an A throws the F6 out the window. An F6 would be F A C D.
These notes spell a G7sus4 as others have pointed out.
I have checked out some of the answers the chord generator can give. I would warn against taking it too seriously. It can give some pretty ridiculous answers.

It's not a great shape for F6 sus2 - that's probably why it doesn't appear in books. It has the 4th string muted, but that's unnecessary as the open 4th string (D) is part of the chord anyway. It is unmoveable because of the open G string and no free fingers left to barre it up the neck. And the sus 2 note (G) is doubled, which is unusual and also unnecessary.

Remember it is a F6sus2 so there would not be a III interval or A in there. It is suspended in favour of the second which would be a G. So F G C D

I will concede that what you say is correct, however...
I stand by what I said earlier. I have never seen a chord symbol that reads F6sus2 in any of my experience. Would you really want to read that on the fly? I don't think so.

Oh! I agree! Much easier to read a G7sus4 on the fly .... Sorry, don't mind me. Whatever it is though, do we all agree it sounds nice?

Thanks for all the feedback! I'll call it "That funky chord I play" lol... G7sus4 sounds good to me, kida rolls off the tounge. Here's what YLTL's doing with it:
Drop of Heaven.mp3
It's a first run and we'll re-record later but what do you think?
