What do all these levers and knobs do on my....

Strat copy????? Its a Squire.

Sorry for the ignorant question but I have looked and cannot find the information in a simple format.

I have a 5 position lever that I think has something to with swithching betwen pickups and two tone control knobs.

Could some kind sole have it in their heart to let me know what the positions do and and the two tone controls.

Also if anyone could let me know what settings I put them on for the following songs:
Wild thing
Smoke on the water
There she goes
Run to you
Behind blue eyes
Seven nation army
Smells like teen spirit

I am now giving my electric some attention after 4 months of neglect but without the right sounds coming from the guitar its a bit off putting, I have the riffs and most of the leads to a reasonable level I think.

I do have a zoom effects box that will create some effects if the guitar cannot do it and a basic amp with with over drive.

Thank you

Hey mate.

There was actually a post here not that long ago on the very same thing ... and a Squire Strat at that.

Have a look here.

In that thread I also posted a link to the Guitar Noise forums where I myself had asked this question too; there some great responses over in that thread too so go check it out.

All the best.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
