I'm working on this song. Some tabs mention a capo on the 1st fret while others just use power chords or bar chords. I don't own a capo and playing the bar chords is beyond me right now so I'm wondering if tuning my guitar a half step up would work.

Also the guitar pro tab has the tremolo in the beginning as tremolo picking but it sounds more like a tremolo effect, can anyone tell me which it is?

Tuning your guitar a half step up will have the same effect as putting a capo on the 1st fret, so yes, it'll work.

And you are right about the intro, it's a tremolo effect rather than tremolo playing.

Hi Pepticdust,
This was the first song i learned and it definitely sounds good (and is easier to play) with a capo over the first fret. I would say get a capo (Very cheap!!!) and sing along with a great track!!!!
