My First Solo!

So I finally learned my first guitar solo. It's an easy one, the first one on Wish You Were Here. I remember listening to it when I was a little kid and now I can play it, wew! Feels great!

Does anyone remember what their first solo was? Just curious, and thanks! I've always had trouble on solos and I'm just glad I finally got one down, even if it is an easy one.

Mine was the Bohemian Rhapsody solo. Its pretty easy and sounds good even at slower speeds, but has some legato.

I'm working on the strumming now for Wish You Were Here, I initially learned it an easier way but I want to get it right now.

I'm still working on bends. I keep trying to do it with just one finger but I've been told that you need two to support the string or something.

mine was "Wish" as well.... I think its a good one to learn because the BPM in that song are slow But I would not say its easy because you could spend forever trying to match Gilmour's bends, slides and vibrato.
I as well suck at solos..... seem to take me forever to get sounding good. I am currently working on Clapton's Layla (unplugged)... the intro solo... its in the key of Dm (F) so at times I just make it up from a Pent scale

I've been told like 10 times I think, but whenever I come across the term again, it doesn't make sense with the explanation that I've been given... :o

First solo I ever learned would've been Black Sabbath - paranoid or Deep Purple - Highway Star.

So i.e playing a bunch of notes with hammer-on and pull-offs would be legato while accenting every one of them with a pick would be staccato?
