Wow,

I sure have, my Jackson has a rose, It's really not all that difficult. I do one string at a time so I don't have to block it but until this video I was cutting the ends off the strings. The method in the video is so much better.

I put a tremol-no on mine so tuning is a lot easier now and I can drop d with ease as well.

  adding springs

Is it a good idea to add two more springs to the back of my guitar it already has three springs in the back, I was thinking that the tremolo will stay more even and wont come up so easy. My guitar has a floyd rose tremolo. any suggestions that might help for the floyd rose tremolo wont come up so easy? will it throw a tuned guitar out of whack when adding the springs.

Putting in all those springs is kind of defeating the concept of a floating bridge. Yes you will have to retune your floyd if you add springs. Why don't you get a tremno or just block it and treat it like a string through till you have more experience.

Hey, your making the tremol-no sound like training wheels.

But seriously, good advice. If you add springs your gonna end up with a stiff bridge and be stuck that way. I did the tremol-no by myself with very little experience and I have the ability to go back to rose style with the turn of two knobs.
