Easy Songs.
Hello. I was wondering (And I Know This Sounds Silly) if anyone knows any very very very easy songs I could play. I have been trying for awhile without seeing any real improvement besides I know the G, Em, A, C, And D Chords. I want to play a song. Any song as long as it sounds like a song. My wife keeps telling me to give up and I really dont want to. Can someone help me out with a easy song. For my peice of mind. When I say easy. Think about the first day you ever picked up your guitar. Thats what I mean by easy. Thanks a million.

Try the one for Knockin' On Heavens Door, its a strumming lesson.
Anyway, I hope this helps...

You can play 'Stand by Me' with those chords, GF.
Two bars of G, two of Em, one of C, one of D, two of G .... repeated over and over. Sing that to your wife, with feeling , and she'll never tell you to give up again.
Here's a quick mp3 I just did for you: you can hear the strum pattern ... I choke the ringing off with the palm of my strumming hand.

Hi Goldfever
Try the lessons that Kirk has recommended BUT don't give up!! A little bit of perseverance and you will get there.

You can try these chords. They match a lot of songs!

Kirk's stuff is always great, Also you might want to try this site http://www.guitarnoise.com/easy.php its got lots of pretty simple arangments, try "Horse with no name" only 2 fingers and 2 chords, doesnt get much easier than that, good luck, it all comes in time.
