First song

I've been looking at a few songs that I wanted to start learning as my first attempt. I was listening to some Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen on CD's, and couldn't for the life of me figure the strum patterns. My son said: "Why don't you Google the song name and put strum pattern after it?" viola! I tried it with Heart Of Gold, and got a great site.

I hope I'm not out of line if I post the site address. It's from another guitar site, and don't want to go against the grain here.

I'm getting down the intro to the song. Heart Of Gold only has five chords and looked like a good place to start. The strum pattern is all down with one hammer-on and some picked and palm muted bass strings (root notes). Fairly good for a beginner, and great to practice changing.

If it's ok to post the site I'll put it here, just let me know.

Thom

Hi! I can't answer your question, but I have another suggestion if you won't mind.
This one is great too; another Bob Dylan song.

I did start on Kirks lessons, particularly Changing Chords and True Beginners 3 part lesson.
