Travis picking! help me!please!

Hello everyone!

I have been playing the guitar for many years and aboui a month ago I was getting quite bored with my playing. So I decided to look around on the net to find some new stuff to play I came across this "Travis Picking" thing. If anyone in the community could let me know where I can find some good information or videos or anything I would really appreciate it!1

I feel I need to learn this so that I can expand my knowledge and one day to achieve my goal of playing some good 'ol ragtime guitar

Thanks in advance

Bluesman

Mark Hanson has the best ones for Travis style that I have used, period. They are "The Art of Contemporary Travis Picking" and "The Art of Solo Fingerpicking", in that order. They build off of each other.

Kirk's lessons are top notch also. His will get yer fingers going very quickly!

I also strongly recommend Mark Hanson's book "The Art of Contemporary Travis Picking". It begins by teaching the basis Travis patterns, before building up to to more complex pieces.
