Sweep picking takes about.....??

Hi there,

recently i decided to try and learn Canon rock from Jerry C. In this song there are various sweep picking parts wich Im having trouble with.

Well offcourse Im gonna have to start slow, and thats going pretty well now but.. Im planning on covering this son someday with my band (if thats possible).

So I was wondering, how long does it take to get the hang of sweep picking in pretty high speeds? Not that Im inpatient about it but, im just curious. Ive been playing guitar for about 1 and a half year now.

Thanx in advance!

Zynex

Yep - that's an impossible question to answer. Depends on how much you practice, how quickly you learn, how much "natural talent" is in the mix, etc. A lot of variables to consider. Like JayJay said, lots of practice will definitely speed things along.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
